HELPFUL HINT!! If you refrigerate your jar after opening, it will become firm like butter.  Just microwave the jar for 10 seconds before use and it will be spreadable without crystallizing when put back in the fridge.

Candied Sweet Potatoes
Boil 3-4 whole sweet potatoes with the skin on until you can stick with fork easily (approx. 5-8 min. depending on size of potatoes). Put in ice water bath to cool quickly and stop the cooking process. After 1-2 min. you can remove them and peel the skin off.
Slice ½ inch thick and place into a 9x13 greased baking pan.
To candy potatoes: Put ½ tsp. of Lilly's Gourmet Maple Butter on each slice of potato.
To top it off, spread some walnuts or pecans over your potatoes. Cover with tinfoil and bake @ 350 for 30-40 min. Delishhhhhh!!!

Maple Frosted Shortbread Cookies
Cream 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 lb. butter (not margarine) adding sugar gradually.  Work in 2 1/2 cups flour.  Chill dough, then roll between wax paper to 3/4 inch thick.  Bake @ 300 for 20 –25 minutes.  While still warm spread Lilly's Gourmet Maple Butter on top and  serve.    --Nancy Foss

Acorn Squash
Cut an acorn squash in half from top to bottom.  Clean out the seeds and roots from the center (you will be stuffing this part).  Peel an apple and dice/slice it up.  Add to the middle of your acorn squash.  Add some chopped walnuts on top of that.  Then take a tablespoon full of Lilly's Gourmet Maple Butter and put it on top of the apples and walnuts.  Bake covered at 350 for approx 45 min or until squash is fork tender.   Its more like a dessert than a veggie.  My kids love it!
